Assailants Murder Kikuube Man

Police in Kikuube district is hunting for assailant who attacked and killed a 32-year-old man in Nyairongo village, Kabwoya sub-county in Kikuube district.

The deceased has been identified as Emanuel Ndaisenga a resident of Nyairongo village in Kaseta parish in Kabwoya sub-county.

According to the Chairman LCI for Nyairongo village Desire Nkuluzinza, the deceased was waylaid on his way home on Monday night at around 10pm.

He notes that assailants hacked Ndaisenga several times. His body was discovered by residents who were going for work on Tuesday morning.

The body was found lying in the pool of blood in a bush near the road with wounds on the head, stomach and neck.

Amlan Tumusiime, the Kikuube Resident District Commissioner together with John Bosco Tumwebaze, the Kikuube district police commander rushed to the scene Tuesday morning and held a meeting with the locals.

While addressing the local communities, Tumusiime condemned the increasing cases of murder in Kabwoya and Kyangwali sub-counties.

He noted that as the district security committee, they had agreed that all bar operations in the two sub-countries close at 8pm.

He notes that the directive was immediate adding that they had discovered that the bars are being operated trans-night and criminals take that advantage to commit crimes.

He challenged the local communities to be security conscious and report wrong elements in their localities as one of the measures of strengthening security in the area.

Julius Hakiiza the Albertine region police spokesperson confirms the murder adding that police had launched investigations while the hunt for the suspects is on.
