Leaders in Masindi district have launched the spot improvement of the Kimanya-Kasongoire road in Nyantonzi sub-county, Bujenje Constituency, Masindi district.
Speaking at the launch, the Acting Masindi District Roads Engineer Sunday Joseph says that out of 16 kilometers, they will work on 5 kilometers due to insufficient funds, thus costing 50 million shillings.
The Nyantonzi LC3 Chairperson, Sunday Eyotu, asked the district leadership to take over some roads in the sub-county since they don’t have enough funding to maintain them.
The Masindi district LCV Chairperson, Cosmas Byaruhanga, says the district didn’t get enough funds to work on all roads in the district.
The Masindi Resident District Commissioner has asked the public to make good use of the roads and avoid fuel siphoning.
