The Hoima City Woman MP has challenged women leaders in different categories to exhibit unity and coexistence since Uganda is in a multiparty system of governance.

Asinansi Nyakato who is from the Opposition Forum for Democratic Change party says for the sake of the electorates, women leaders need to embrace each other besides their political differences.

She made the remarks during the belated Women’s Day celebrations that were held at Buhanika cell in Nyakambugu Ward, Hoima East Division.

Nyakato noted women leaders need to be tolerant, love each other and embrace unity at all levels adding that President Museveni sometimes picks Ministers from other parties to work in his government.

Meanwhile, Nyakato apologized to the people of Hoima City over the recent incidents where she was engaged in fierce fight with police officers during the demonstrations of opposition MPs in Kampala.
