Residents of Nyakabungo village in Rubona parish, Ruteete sub-county in Kagadi district were Monday left in shock after their village executive secretary identified as Joseph Mugisha aged 66 committed suicide by hanging in his house.
The Nyakabungo LC1 chairperson Benon Byamugisha says the incident happened at around 5 PM Monday evening.
He says he had worked with the deceased on the LC1 executive for a long time and has been a good resident.
The village leader has condemned the act of committing suicide appealing to residents to always seek for counseling in times of disputes instead of committing suicide.
