Andrew Byakutaaga, the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Prime Minister has scoffed at the agitators of Butebengwa following the election of former BKK Prime Minister Norman Lukumu as cultural leader of Mutebengwa Bwa Bugungu (Kingdom)

Though Bugungu cultural institution is not yet legally allowed by government to operate, the 56 clans of Bagungu last week convened and elected leaders to move forward their Cultural institution.

Speaking to reporters after his election, Lukumu described his election as a milestone towards the creation of an independent cultural institution of the Bagungu from Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.

Reacting about the election his predecessor as a new cultural leader, Byakutaaga says the election of Lukumu had no relevance adding that Lukumu is misleading Bagungu to support his agenda for his personal interest.

He notes that Lukumu has been using different fraudulent ways to be noticed since the days he was dropped as prime Minister adding his election has no significance and called on Bunyoro to remain united to push for development.
