Assailants Hack Masindi Scrap Dealer

Unknown assailants have hacked to death a 41-year-old man in Masindi district. The deceased has been identified as Gerald Baguma, a resident of Kabango village in Masindi district.

Baguma, a scrap dealer met his death on Saturday night.

It is believed that the assailants attacked Baguma to steal from him after he had earlier in the day sold a truck loaded with scrap metals.

Kyalisima Xavier, a brother to Baguma has told Spice FM that the assailants on Saturday night attacked his brother and hit him thrice with a hammer on the head before they cut off his neck.

The incident according to Kyalisima happened at Baguma’s scrap store since where he has been staying.

The deceased hails from Kakira-Ngobye in Buraru sub county, Hoima district.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson says investigations into the gruesome murder have commenced. He, however, says that no suspect has been arrested.
