Buseruka Sub County Gets UGX 850M for Construction of Seed School

Hoima District has received 850 million Shillings for the construction of Buseruka Seed Secondary School.

The school will be constructed under Development Response to Displacement Impact Project- DRDIP, a world bank funded project in the Office of the Prime Minister.

The project will include the construction of Classroom blocks, Administration block, ICT block, library, staff quarters, and science laboratories, pit latrines, fencing, and leveling of the Sports field at the school.  It will also include compound land scaping, tree planting around the school, rain water harvesting systems, multipurpose hall among others.

Geoffrey Kumakech, the Hoima District Secretary for Finance, Planning and administration says that plans are underway to have the construction works of the school kick off soon.

He says currently, the district has embarked on the process of advertising the contract for the construction of the school.

Ali Tinkamanyire, the Buseruka Sub County LCIII Chairperson has applauded the government for allocating funds for the construction of a seed school in the area saying it will be the only government aided secondary school in the area.

Swaibu Nyangabyaki, the Hoima District Speaker says all processes to have the work begin are underway as the district has currently embarked on all the paper work.

He has tasked leaders and residents to closely monitor and supervise the project to ensure that there is value for money in the entire project once construction works begin.
