A man is in police custody in Kakumiro district for allegedly raping a 62-year-old woman in Kyakasimbazi, Kiryandongo parish in Katikara Sub County.
The suspect is David Atuhura a resident of the same village who is accused of raping Sadrasi Musiime at around 1am on Saturday night.
The woman has told our reporter that Atuhura stormed her residence and locked himself in the house, coercing the old woman to remove all clothes.
Musiime says the suspect who was holding a panga, threatened her not to make any alarm and slapped her several times.
Justine Kentalo, one of the neighbors, says Musiime managed to rush out of her house out of the incident while naked seeking the help of her neighbours.
The chairperson LC1 Kyakasimbazi, Yelemia Bagorogoza asked the youth to work hard and stop abusing drugs.
