Bunyoro-Kitara diocese has commissioned 25 lay leaders who will serve in the different parts of the diocese.
The commissioned lay leaders have been trained in theology for two years at Bishop Ruyindi theological college in Hoima City.
These were awarded with certificates during a Sunday service held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Duhaga, in Hoima City.
While presiding over the service, the Bunyoro Kitara Diocesean Bishop, Rt. Rev. Samuel Kahuma of asked them to be more effective ministers of God.
Bishop Kahuma Abwooli has also asked them to be mindful of the ancient and modern biblical preaching of the Anglican Church of Uganda.
