Unknown assailants have hacked to death a 62-year-old man in Kakumiro district. The deceased has been identified as Damesen Rudakoma, a resident of Kyarukoka Village in Kikwaya parish in Kikwaya sub-county. Rudakoma met his death at the hands of the assailants who raided the village on Sunday night.
The assailants hacked the deceased on the head, chest, and neck and dumped his lifeless body near Kyarukoka trading center. The area LC I Chairperson, John Byamukama told our reporter in an interview that residents were shocked to find the deceased on Monday morning and immediately alerted the police.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, says that detectives have commenced inquiries into the matter.
