In a bid to promote agriculture among the youth in Bunyoro region, Kikuube district local government in partnership MasterCard Foundation, Goal Uganda and ALK & @RT Agency under a program code named Young Africa works are holding a Youth Agro Expo 2022 at Booma grounds in Hoima City aimed at improving youth production capacity.
The Young Africa works program is being implemented 18 districts. Kikuube, Hoima and Kiryandongo districts are some of the beneficiaries.
Speaking at the expo, Barnabus Ntume, the Kikuube senior production officer commended the funders for the expo adding that it has come at the right time when they are mobilizing for the parish development model which will support the youth with 30% of the PDM funds to engage in agriculture production
He says the expo will empower the youth with farming skills, technology and knowledge to boost their production.
