Police is Kagadi district is holing a man in his 30s in connection to the death of a 25-year-old man who drowned in Lake Albert at Nguuse landing site in Kagadi district.
The suspect is identified as Nicholas Alinaitwe, a fisherman at Nguse landing site in Kagadi district while the missing person is identified as only God a resident of Rubirizi village in Mpeefu sub-county Kagadi district.
It is alleged that the duo went fishing together on Sunday but God never returned.
On Tuesday, Alinaitwe was tasked to explain the whereabouts of his colleague. He told
The residents were shocked after Alinaitwe told them that deceased had drowned in the lake after the boat they were sailing in capsized.
Residents notified police that picked up the suspect. Alinaitwe is now detained at Kitebere police station as investigations into the matter are ongoing.
