Spice Media Services Limited today donated food to the Muslim community as they mark the end of the holy month of Ramadhan. Muslims will tomorrow mark Eid- al-Fitr.
The donated items were 200 kilograms of rice delivered to Hoima town and Bwikya mosques respectively.
According to Fred Byenkya, the Program Director for Spice FM says the donation was meant to show solidarity and Spice FM’s social outreach to the Muslim community in the district.
He represented Spice Radio’s director Edgar Agaba who commended the Muslims for ending the holy month well.
Sheikh Swaibu Ntegeka, the Imam for Hoima town mosque welcomed the donation saying it will be offered vulnerable Muslims to enjoy Eid.
Sheik Mazamiru Suudi Kayondo, the Imam for Bwikya mosque however commended Spice FM the outreach and asked other people to do the same.
He emphasized the importance the importance of acts of generosity after Ramadhan because they fetch more rewards.
