Shock and fear gripped Mirambi A LCI, Kihurumba parish of Bwanswa sub county, Kakumiro district on Wednesday morning after one of the residents was attacked and slaughtered in his house.
The deceased has been identified as Yowasi Kyakora, a 40 year-old resident of the same area. He was allegedly murdered in cold blood by suspected assailants who used a panga to slit his neck in his house.
The deceased’s wife identified as Juliet Musiime says that she went with her husband to one of the bars in the village on Wednesday evening.
However, while at the bar, her husband picked a quarrel with one of the residents identified as God Tumusiime which ended into a fight. His wife chose to sleep at a neighbors place but her husband returned home at around 2am. She was shocked on hearing that he had been killed.
The deceased’s son says his father returned home at around 2am in company of another unidentified man. He served them food before retiring to bed. On waking up on Wednesday morning, he found his father’s lifeless body with his neck slit. The children suspect that their father was killed by a man whom he came with at night.
The area LCI Chairperson Nyansio Sekyanzi has condened the murder of Kyakora.
Police with a help of a sniffer dog lead police detectives to the home of God Tumusiime who is now under arrest.
