In its campaign to popularise motor sports, the Federation of Motorsport in Uganda-FMU has opted to take the sport to schools as one way of grooming young athletes and expose the sport to young people.
Shortly after taking over at the FMU President in 2020, Dipu Ruparelia promised to find more partners and expand the sport to different parts of the country.
Dipu told URN in a recent interview that he has embarked on his promise to take the sport to different parts of the country by engaging schools.
He says they intend to use Jude Ssemakula and his Academy to spread the sport to schools starting with international schools and before they engage private schools.
